You can't really see either top coat in the photos but oh well -__- Other than me doing a sloppy job on my right hand, I really like the way it turned out!

Some Changes
Today I resigned from my job at the Disney Store, sad day. But they just were not giving me enough hours and I couldn't do it anymore :(
I did however manage to land a job at a retail store called Shasa. It's relatively new to the US, I believe it was only in Mexico until last year or so.. They basically sell clothes + accessories similar to the style of Forever 21, Charlotte Russe, Agaci, Wet Seal, etc.. It's not minimum wage, luckily, and I will be getting hours the manager said. I do not start until next Monday, though. (is it silly that I am super excited bc I can wear whatever I want and PAINT MY NAILS again!!!)
After going to the mall, Ian and I came home, while Joe went to the gym. Ian fell asleep:
and I made myself some cheesy fries + tots ^__^

Disney Store's Grand Opening was Today
Unfortunately, I do not have any photos :( I worked 11am until 7:10pm and was in the front of the store the whole time.
When I got there at 11, it was already packed. They had to set up some velvet rope barriers to control the line of people, since we were only allowed ~75 guests in the store at a time (safety/fire marshal reasons). Also, in the center of the mall, there was a stage set up where some members of Radio Disney were dancing/entertaining the crowd, and from 12 - 4pm Mickey and Minnie were there taking photos with everyone.
Around 6 the crowds died down so we were able to get rid of the 'line' that we had, and anyone could just enter the store as they pleased.
After work I bought a father's day present for my dad, hopefully I get to see him tomorrow!
It was a really, really, really good day, and it went by so fast. I had a lot of fun, and I hope every kid that came it had just as much :) I was a little bummed because I didn't get to meet Mickey or Minnie, but eh, it was still overall a great day!

New manicure 6-17-11
I'm really hoping that this new manicure I just gave myself doesn't get disapproval from the Disney Store..bc it is so cute, and really subtle!
I used my stamping plate for the first, successful, time :) The hello kitty is pretty much the only good stamp outta the plate, but hey, it was free!
You can see it a bit better in the second photo. It's just a very light nude/pink base and iridescent glitter on top, with a white HK stamp.

Lunch!
So I got up this morning around 7:45 - 8am after Joe left for work, because I couldn't fall back asleep. Decided to check what time I needed to be on the bus in order to get to work on time, 10am to my surprise, so then I hurriedly got myself and Ian ready, and told his father to meet us at the mall. Since it was a call in shift from 12 - 5, and since I was waiting at the bus stop, I called the store only to find out they didn't really need me to go in today~! ....annoyed and sorta sweaty (bc in texas it's like 90 degrees at 10:15am) I walked back into my apt. Luckily I hadn't gotten on the bus already..
Ian got picked up around noon or so, and then I finished watching the two final episodes of Kuragehime (pics above) ..I didn't really feel like cleaning yet so.. I made some lunch!
Okay, okay, I know it doesn't really -look- all that appetizing, but it tastes delicious! Today for lunch I made myself some plain noodles (help from maruchan ramen lol) tossed with some toasted sesame seeds, and chicken breast with a garlic-peanut spicy sauce. And while my nose is running a little bit, it still isn't as spicy as I wanted it to be -__-
I am just so bored at home today with Joe gone! When he was working at Forever 21 I was sort of used to it, but last week he was home every single day with me, and now I miss him.. lame..I know. I also wish I could have shared this dish with him!
Here's the recipe (even though I didn't use one....)
Sauce:
1 cup soy sauce
1/2 cup water
1/2-1 tsp corn starch
1 tsp peanut butter
1 tbsp sriracha
2 large cloves of garlic, chopped fine
1 tsp chili powder
1 tsp crushed red pepper flakes
Everything else:
1 large chicken breast
1 package ramen noodles (only used the noodles, not the flavoring)
1/2 - 1tsp toasted sesame seeds
This recipe probably would have tasted better if I had more ingredients, ideally I probably would also have added/wanted: powdered ginger, scallions, carrots, crushed peanuts, onions, and probably rice instead of noodles..but I made do!
I cooked the chicken first, then cut it up and added all the ingredients for the sauce. Noodles cooked separate, and I actually used the starchy noodle water instead of just tap water to help the corn starch thicken it up. Also, I'm used a hell of a lot more sriracha than what I stated above..I just figured that 1 tbsp was more...'normal'..
There ya go!

My one pet peeve of Disney Store..
We have to dress so plain! I can't even wear nail polish unless it is nude, or clear!! And as an obsessive nail polish hoarder, this is the worst news since finding out Pluto wasn't a planet.
I had on cute gold Milani holographic nail polish today, with one black mickey shape on each thumb today:

but when a manager at work saw them, she told me although they were cute, we weren't allowed to wear any colored nail polish.
So I just took off that polish, but instead of going clear, I put little mickey shapes in a very pale, nude color. (I know, I'm such a rebel..........)
